Kosovar culture

Three things you need to know about Kosovo:

1. It is the world’s newest country since it became independent from Serbia on Feb. 17, 2008.

2. Ninety-seven per cent of the people in Kosovo are of Kosovo origin, of which 97 per cent are Muslims.

3. It has a lot of beautiful areas that most Europeans don’t know about and it also has a lot of natural resources.

A must see in Kosovo is: Pristina, the capital, and Prizren, the oldest town and cultural centre of Kosovo.

The biggest difference between Canada and Kosovo: That Kosovar are a lot livelier than Canadians.

In Kosovo, never ever: Compare someone to a Serbian!

A wrong stereotype about Kosovo people is: That the country is still destroyed because of the war in 1999.

Kosovar people love: Drinking tea.

Kosovar people hate: Being quiet.

What I like most about Kosovo is: Being able to spend time in the rural areas because it is nice and quiet there.

What I dislike most about Kosovo is: The pollution.

Here in Canada I miss most: My family.
