Three things you need to know about Zimbabwe:

1. We’ve got the Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

2. Zimbabweans like to party!

3. The political situation is tense so there is a shortage of goods.

A must see in Zimbabwe is:

The Victoria Falls.

The biggest difference between Canada and Zimbabwe is:

The weather! It is much colder in Canada and there is no snow in Zimbabwe.

In Zimbabwe never ever: Argue with a police officer or you might disappear.

A wrong stereotype about Zimbabweans is:

That we are all corrupt like our president.

Zimbabweans love:

Soccer and beer!

Zimbabweans hate:

The cold (cold meaning less that 15 C!)

What I like most about Zimbabwe is:

That the rules are not as strict as in Canada.

What I dislike most about Zimbabwe is:

The way people treat each other. Everyone thinks that they are better than everyone else.

Here in Canada I miss most:

The sun!

Zimbabwean cooking for beginners:

Sadza

Ingredients:

• Mealie meal (maize corn meal)
• Some type of meat
• Vegetables
• Bread

Instructions:

Mix mealie meal with water. Stir into boiling water and allow to boil until soft. Add more mealie meal until mixture gets thick hard. Cook meat and mix with vegetables and serve with sadza.
